Recurrent Pregnancy Loss or RPL (Recurrent OR Repeated Abortions)
RPL is a disease which causes immeasurable emotional trauma to a family bringing a deep sense of inadequacy to the mother who fails to realize her dream of giving birth to a beautiful and healthy baby, repeatedly. It is be estimated to occur in 1% to 3% of all pregnancies. Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is one of the most frustrating and difficult diseases as the cause cannot always be known. The cause may be determined only in about 50% of the cases.
The most common causes are:
- Uterine related complications
- Immunologic causes
- Endocrine related causes
- Genetic conditions
- Thrombophilic related
- Environmental causes
- Infective conditions

Our policy for treating RPL patients is getting a detailed history, examinations, complete evaluation of last abortions and treatments, followed by investigation. Treatment is based on conclusion of a complete evaluation.
